  1. Very thought-provoking today Linda. The courage one – getting from one moment to the next – there’s much I take away from this. In it, I see that it’s about not reaching whatever the end goal is, but in just taking the next step in that direction. One step at a time, we’ll get to where we desire to be…

  2. Linda,

As I’ve told you before, I read your post each time it comes up, but am always at a loss to comment. Today is different.

THANK YOU FOR THOSE QUOTES! I am going to be doing a radio interview next month on RSD and the “silent victims” – the caretakers. These two quotes have given me a TOTALLY different perspective on what I need to say – or certainly, add.

Bless – and an easy fast if that’s your “thing.”

    Rita

  3. If it is from deep down your heart , then you are such a wonderful focks l will always open your site. Keep it up!

  4. Hi Linda. Beautiful quotes, yet again! And for some reason the photo touched me even deeper than the quotes. Thanks for the feelings :-)

  5. Hi Lance,

Yes, I often tend to look too far ahead, and as a result get overwhelmed. I’m trying to focus more on the task at hand, emotionally as well as in actions or decisions. I need lots of practice on this!

    Hi Rita,

Hope you had a good yuntuf (sp?). Happy & healthy 5769 to you & yours.

If you don’t post your radio interview info on your blog, I hope you will email it to me so I can listen in next month. I’d love to hear you speak.

“Silent victims” really describes caregivers — and I haven’t heard them referred to in those words. Families of Alzheimer’s patients are also silent victims.

I’m happy these two quotes sparked a new perspective for you.

    Hi Sharon,

Welcome to the TLeC community! Thanks for your kind words and hope you’ll keep reading and commenting here.

    Hi Davina,

Yes, that photo touched my heart, too! The photographer captured so much in this one shot — and they are his great aunt and uncle. It was taken with love . . . .

  6. Hi Linda – I love the quote about hope. It’s so true.

    I also love the photo.

  7. Dear Barbara Swafford,

I’m happy you liked both the quote and the photo! Welcome back! Nice to see you here again.

  8. Love this inspiring site. We can all use the encouragement. You may like to visit http://hazidaze.blogspot.com/ to view some of our other learnings here in downeast Maine’s Life with Alzheimer’s.

  9. Hi Barb & Gordon,

Welcome to TLeC! I just visited your blog and will go back to look at it further when time permits. You may want to check out the following blog, too, as it provides much needed support for caregivers: http://www.helenemoore.com

Helene, the blog author, is founder of Adopt a Caregiver.org and wrote a book “Behind the Mask” about caring for her husband when he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.)
